Terry was just 18 months old when I was born but even so he was my big brother & that's who he will always be to me. He was my first playmate, my first best friend, my teacher, my protector. As children we played, laughed, fought & cried. As we grew & developed our own set of friends, the bond between us was still there & I always knew he would be there for me if needed. I was so proud of him as I watched him play sports, participate in student government & later as he served in the Air Force. As adults we both had very busy lives but still managed to keep in touch regularly. We grew especially close during the final year of his life & I will always treasure the conversations we had as he battled cancer. I admired the strength & positive attitude he demonstrated through it all. I'm at peace knowing he is finally pain free & reunited with our parents. Terry you were a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, son & brother. You will always hold a special place in my heart & live on in my memories. I miss you dearly but I know that someday we will be together again.

It is very difficult to write this about my best friend of so many years. First, Sharon and I want to convey our deepest sympathy to Darlene, Stacee and Ava on their loss. Our friendship started in the 4th grade. We attended schools together through high school. During junior high we played sports together. Playing all sports Terry was a skilled athlete. During these times, when we were not playing sports, we hung out doing what boys do! I must admit they were not always wise choices. I loved to hunt and fish. Terry was not into it, but he went along a lot of the time. Oh the stories I could tell! During high school we went camping with my parents. I drove my car and we hung out with other campers. One night we were walking and Terry saw a man carrying an ice chest. I look over and it was a bear! After school before Terry entered the Air Force Terry, Joan, Sharon and I went to Vegas and had a great time. Terry helped Sharon and me move to Idaho. Terry came to visit us at all of our homes In Idaho, Washington, California and Arizona. In Washington he came up with Stacee after her high school graduation on a road trip with her. About 5 years ago Terry flew to Las Vegas to meet me. We had a great time. 2 days of eating, going to shows and just hanging out. I last saw Terry several years ago when he stayed with us for a couple of weeks here in Arizona. I don't think a week went by when we did not talk. I will miss those calls we have enjoyed for so many years. There are so many other things we did together that I have not mentioned. A lot of good and some bad, but I will always remember him as my friend. Terry is my best friend and I will miss him greatly.
