Obituary of Linda Dianna Murphy

Linda Dianna Murphy, age 77, of Providence Village, Texas passed away on March 29, 2025 in Santa Clarita, California surrounded by her daughter and grandson. She was born on August 11, 1947, in Lafayette, Indiana to Glenn Kenneth Bulington and Ivy Gertrude Geller Bulington. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Murphy LaBrie and her treasured grandsons Cameron and Jacob of Santa Clarita, California. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Jeanie Murphy, and her nephews, Ryan and Brandon. She is also survived by her dear friend, Missy. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Ivy as well as her brother Gary, sister Carolyn, her beloved son, Douglas Eric and her former husband and father of her children, Dennis. Those who knew Linda admired her energy, big personality, infectious laugh, warm, cheerful soul and her love and loyalty to her family & friends. Her “work hard, play hard” approach to life was reflected in her over 50 years in the workplace in various positions such as bookkeeper, office manager and account manager for a myriad of construction companies and accounting offices. Fun fact: in the mid 1980’s, Linda was one of only two female commodity brokers in the state of Indiana. She loved country music, country dancing, reading, playing the card game “frustration” and spending time “making memories” (as she would say) with family and friends. She was dearly loved by everyone who knew her. Her daughter states: “She modeled for me the woman and the mother I am today, and I will forever be grateful for that gift. She was my greatest advocate and my fiercest protector. While my heart aches, I find comfort in the memories she gave to the boys and me. The stories and the memories we shared will forever be cherished.” A celebration of life will be held for Linda in August, 2025. In person and virtual options will be available.
